Last night we released our album at the beautiful Aigburth Cricket Club in Liverpool and it went like a dream!
We've been lucky to play a few very cool gigs earlier this year, but for us this will be the highlight. It was a really special day and we couldn't have found a better place to celebrate. The cricket club is such a neighborouly venue that we all felt very much at home.
The album has been our joint obsession for the last year or so and it was great to see so many faces of the people who've been part of the story so far. People who've been coming to gigs, people who've been spreading the word and encouraging us, bands we've played with before, friends, family, and some brand new faces too! Thank you to everyone came.
We were joined by the wonderful Southbound Attic Band, The Big I Am, and Lara Boundy. We baked some free cakes for everyone & got some bug tattoos printed to sell on the merch table. It was the 70th anniversary of D Day, so we played our Vera Lynn cover. Some of the regulars at the cricket club bar are in their 80s so hopefully that meant something for them!
We had a beautiful time - hope you all did too!
Aigburth Cricket Club is currently fighting a court case against some baddies who want to evict them and replace the building with some pointless stuff which is pretty shocking. We raised a bunch of cash on the door which will hopefully help them fight their court case!
