Interview with Seattle based blog - The Creative Unconscious

The Creative UnconsciousWhat's your name, age, and professional title? Where are you currently employed?

A: Ariel, 25, Bathymetry, Vocals & Guitar

D: Dave, 22, Bum, Anyone that needs me, Drums

E: Emily, 23, None, Nobody, Bass, Vocals & Guitar

TCU: What hobbies do you have outside of your professional field that keep you inspired and motivated to generate personal work? How do they inspire you?

A: Many of my hobbies seem to tie into the band. I like to take photos with my old Canon AE-1 and that comes in handy for capturing our antics. I like books a whole lot and try to be a writer of sorts. Often reading a novel will inspire a new tune/new lyrics. Films can also be inspiration goldmines – I prefer fantasy & horror but anything with a good storyline/interesting visuals is my cup of tea.

I suppose the more you go swimming in the pool of dreams the more things you can bring back to the surface. So it's good to just keep doing things even if the results aren't always terribly impressive.

D: Mainly sleeping, and then I feel bad for sleeping so long so that motivates me to practice and experiment with music. I play games a lot too, I’m not sure how or if that inspires me. Maybe it’s just for fun.

E: I like walking. I noticed that my thought processes are a bit different when I am in transit. I really love flying, although I don’t get to do it very much because I spend all my money on trains. Apart from hanging out with my best friends, I also love sun bathing, swimming, watching cartoons, going to the swings, beach hangout, café hopping, riding roller coasters, cutting bowl and playing on the computer.
